Sitting pretty

Although she has been sitting well on her own for a long time (this taken on May 19th) I witnessed a milestone yesterday. For the first time in front of my eyes she transitioned smoothly from a hands.n.knees to a sitting position

Very slick as if there was nothing to it.

World Cup fever

Rhea loves her original south african vuvuzella. She watched her the much-hyped US-England match end in a draw thanks to Green's generosity. We did deserve to get something out of that first half while the second was dismal in terms of ball possession alone.

She will no doubt be routing for her grandfathers motherland against the reigning champs tomorrow afternoon. Maybe one day when she's playing for the lady Jags, Guyana can represent the region at a major tournament.

Saturday morning flight.

Rhea does a couple things really well these days:

1) Standing up while holding on.
2) Scrutinizing and assessing new gadgets.

They say women generally make for better instrument pilots.

Oh yeah .....and:

3) sleeping in the back seat with her mother.

Bath + smiles

Rhea went through a patch where all baths were miserable. Those days are clearly over. During the course of this bath she actually attempted a nose dive out of the tub to reach her big yellow vuvuzella. More on that to come.

Brady RIP - special post for Uncles Marv, Kien, Terry and Johnny

We just had to take the opportunity to celebrate the demise of the stunted NE football dynasty. We were lucky enough to catch parts of both conference championship games yesterday and were wondering out loud what Tommy boy must be thinking at the time. As you can see Rhea was initially repulsed by the idea of donning the jersey of our AFC victims (think NYG 08) but when i explained that it was really a charity event to raise funds for the prescription anti-depressants required to treat all the greaving bostonians. I think Partners in Health has been assisting with the humanitarian effort. These shots were actually taken the day after the lowly ravens went the the 'fortress' of foxboro and demolished the hapless pats. more to come....

Little women

Her aunt Sophie made sure that the holiday season was indeed a time of serious RnR. We actually tried to pry them apart [as it looked a little precarious] but the link far exceeded the minumum GNBS saftey harness connectivity threshold. From our christmas day photo file.

Nurse Mary about to get a reaction.

That inocent little smile is just about to be wiped right off the face of the unsuspecting RTM. Jules could not have had better timing on this one. In Her first visit to the public clinic, OPV in the books as well. That's Oral Polio of course which elicited gurgles instead of the howling very nearly pictured at left.

Growing at a rate.

Clearly satisfied [momentarily] after another feeding frenzy. Her mother is performing heroically without the breast pump as we rush in replacement parts - thanks Becky!

Jungle Princess

No doubt with this one that she's back home in Lethem.
