First 'bust up' lip.

This was actually last thursday and probably the scariest moment we have shared. For better or worse Julie had just left on a two dy outreach program for work when disaster struck. Given that she falls at least ten times a day, I have no idea how she didn't get her hands out in time. A face first encounter with the hard tiled floor of the office caused enough bleeding to really shake uo her old man. Both her lips were cut on the inside - but is clotted upo fast and she was distracted right away with a bunch of sheep in the yard.
This pic is a few minutes after impact. The swelling went down the next day and by the time Mom got home, it was unoticable. We've been through a couple of skinned knees already and she's a tough kid alright.

Evening stroll

RTMT actually walked half way from the Kenyon's house to the ice-cream shop; by far a personal record. It was pretty obvious when she got tired as she abruptly sat down in the road and became a little rag-doll. Soursop (sp?) flavor is always a big hit.

She is the child of two sleeping champions after all. This is her under the mosquito net at work with her mom at the GRCS office in lethem.

Sitting pretty

Although she has been sitting well on her own for a long time (this taken on May 19th) I witnessed a milestone yesterday. For the first time in front of my eyes she transitioned smoothly from a hands.n.knees to a sitting position

Very slick as if there was nothing to it.

World Cup fever

Rhea loves her original south african vuvuzella. She watched her the much-hyped US-England match end in a draw thanks to Green's generosity. We did deserve to get something out of that first half while the second was dismal in terms of ball possession alone.

She will no doubt be routing for her grandfathers motherland against the reigning champs tomorrow afternoon. Maybe one day when she's playing for the lady Jags, Guyana can represent the region at a major tournament.
